7th Step is a program designed to help the recidivist offender change their behavior and attitudes using a basic self help philosophy. It’s fundamental principles are realistic thinking and positive peer pressure.
Currently, there are two seven step groups in motion. One being at the Dalhousie University every Tuesday evening and the at the Melanson Community Centre every second Monday. We occasionally have guests, including judges, provincial and federal ministers, members of the religious community and members of the media, and social justice advocates.
We also conduct presentations at many of locations including high schools, support groups and prisons.
If you are interest in joining Seven Step Society as an ex-offender/person under supervision, or as a volunteer please contact us.
